Service Description
A postpartum massage experience designed for Mom + one pre-crawling baby. This 60-minute postpartum massage is created for moms who want time to rest, reset, and care for their changing body without having to leave baby behind. Your appointment includes 30 minutes of flexible baby transition time before and/or during your massage, a full 60-minute hands-on massage, and 15 minutes of post-session transition time. The flexible transition time allows you to get settled, feed or change baby, prepare for your session, and get baby comfortable in the provided rocking bassinet. Any transition time not used before the massage may be used for baby-related pauses during your session for feeding, changing, holding, or soothing. Every effort will be made to provide the full 60 minutes of hands-on massage. However, if baby-related interruptions exceed the included 30-minute buffer, the remaining massage time may be shortened. Appointments cannot extend beyond the reserved session time. Postpartum-friendly positioning is available, including a massage table with breast recesses and an abdominal/stomach cutout to help reduce pressure on tender breasts and the abdomen. Side-lying positioning is also available for clients who are not comfortable lying on their stomach, including those recovering from a C-section. Please note: This service is designed for one pre-crawling infant only. Baby must remain in the treatment room with Mom and remains the parent’s responsibility throughout the appointment. This service does not include childcare or infant massage. Clients must be medically cleared for massage when applicable. Please communicate any recent C-section, birth complications, pain, tenderness, or other postpartum concerns prior to your session so positioning and massage techniques can be adjusted for your comfort. Because postpartum care should feel supportive — not rushed.
Cancellation Policy
Booking Policy – Please Review Before Scheduling By booking an appointment with Massage Is Life, you acknowledge that you have reviewed, understand, and agree to the full policies available on the Policies & Procedures page of the website. Payment: Appointments may require a non-refundable deposit, applicable copay, legacy package redemption, or gift certificate redemption at booking. Deposits are applied toward the remaining appointment balance. Rescheduling: Appointments may be rescheduled one time with at least 24 hours’ notice and the original deposit will transfer. A second reschedule forfeits the original deposit and requires a new deposit. Rescheduling within 24 hours also forfeits the deposit and requires a new deposit. Cancellations: Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the appointment forfeit the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to 50% of the base service cost, less the deposit already paid. Add-ons are not included in this fee. Outstanding fees must be paid before booking again. (Must Contact me to cancel) No-Shows: You are considered a no-show if you have not arrived or made contact within 15 minutes of your appointment time. The deposit will be forfeited and the remaining base-service balance will be invoiced. Package appointments will forfeit the session. No-show invoices cannot be paid with gift cards. 2-Hour & 3-Hour Sessions: These appointments require 48 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling due to the amount of time reserved. Changes within 48 hours are considered late and the same applicable cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show fees apply. Please do not attend your appointment if you are sick or contagious. Weather-related concerns will be handled with reasonable flexibility based on conditions in your area. Massage Is Life reserves the right to refuse, modify, postpone, or discontinue service for health or safety concerns, required medical clearance, cleanliness/hygiene concerns, strong or disruptive odors, inappropriate or sexual behavior/comments, harassment, or other conduct that compromises professional boundaries.
