Our Story
Massage for a Cause was born from two passions that have shaped my life: massage therapy and serving families affected by pregnancy and infant loss.
After founding Jordyn's Light in 2024 in memory of my daughter, Jordyn, I began looking for ways to use my career as a licensed massage therapist to help support the organization's mission. In 2025, I hosted several Massage for a Cause pop-up events as a solo fundraising effort, donating proceeds to help raise funds for Jordyn's Light.
What I quickly realized was that I wasn't alone.
From the very beginning of Jordyn's Light, my fellow massage therapists have been among our biggest supporters. They have encouraged the mission, shown up for our events, and continuously asked how they could help make a difference.
Their support inspired a bigger vision.
Beginning in 2027, Massage for a Cause will evolve into a collaborative initiative that brings licensed massage therapists together for a shared purpose—to use the profession we love to make a meaningful impact. Beyond raising funds and awareness for Jordyn's Light, this initiative will also provide an opportunity to showcase the incredible massage therapists and massage businesses serving our communities.
Massage therapy has always been about helping people heal. Massage for a Cause extends that spirit beyond the treatment room by bringing our profession together in support of families navigating pregnancy and infant loss.
Together, we're proving that when a community comes together with compassion and purpose, even the smallest act of kindness can create a lasting impact.
Our Vision
Massage for a Cause is designed to become an ongoing community initiative that brings licensed massage therapists, wellness professionals, businesses, and supporters together throughout the year to make a meaningful impact.
Our vision is to host a variety of Massage for a Cause events—from intimate pop-up fundraisers to larger community experiences—each benefiting Jordyn's Light while raising awareness for pregnancy and infant loss.
As the initiative grows, we hope to:
